Elizabeth Inman | Owner & President of Inman Financial, LLC, Home of Federal Employee Benefit Coordinators

As one of America’s top Federal retirement educators, Elizabeth says that retirement is a tricky affair these days for everyone. It may be even trickier for Federal employees. The Federal workforce is estimated at over 2.1 million civilian workers, with the Postal Service employing more than 600,000.

According to Government Executive, “14 percent of federal workers are eligible to retire… and that number is expected to increase to 30 percent within five years.”

According to Elizabeth Inman, ChFEBC, a nationally-recognized Federal Benefits Educator, Author, Speaker, and Federal Retirement Specialist, who retired from the USPS with over 24 years of Federal service, “Without a proper understanding of the options and the land-mines, it’s easy to make some well-meaning yet costly mistakes when your retire as a Federal employee. These common yet avoidable mistakes will often mean that Federal retirees will lose out on benefits and options for their entire life. After a career of devoted service, I believe that they deserve to take full advantage of every benefit available.”
